First day of School

I have a lot to catch up on, I have been kinda lazy. Hunter started school on Wednesday the 20th. His teacher is Mrs Bird Hunter seems to like her. We went to the school open house and the only thing that was on his mind was school lunch. On the first day of course he woke up at the crack of dawn he had to wake me up, big surprise. I asked him the night before what he wanted for breakfast and he decided on pancakes. So I got up and made him pancakes. Then we hurried and got ready to go. Josh remember that he needed to give Hunter a fathers blessing I stayed in the other room while he did that because I knew that I would cry. When Josh was all done he came in the room and had tears in his eyes (he might kill me) and then I heard Hunter in the other room crying (he is a sensitive boy). I was doing just great and then Hunter came in my room and I gave him a big hug and then started crying. I just really hit home that my baby is no longer a baby. First grade is a big deal. He will forever be in school. He is no longer my baby (he will always be). I look at my baby Beckham and he reminds me of when Hunter was this age and the time has gone by way to fast. I have no idea how parents let and deal with letting there kids grow up. I love having my kids around (most the time) and hate the fact that they are growing up. So anyway we walked Hunter to school. Josh was able to walk with us. He is really good about being there for the important things. We took hunter into his class room and he started getting tears in his eyes. My mom instinst was to run to him and give him a hug and tell him it was going to be okay, but I resitied as hard as it was. He said he had a great day and loves school lunch. I am so proud of Hunter am amazed of what a wonderful boy he turning out to be. Not to mention that he is so dang cute.

I know how you feel. It was a lot harder to let Megan go to school all day too. I love that lunch is his favorite part of school...too cute!
