A shout out to Hunter

Okay so let me first start by saying that my theory on parenthood is that about 90% of the time we wonder why the heck we have choosen to be parents at all. It doesnt pay well as far as money goes in fact that is the total opposite. There is always something that needs cleaned up, a tear to be wiped, and hug to be given, a fight that needs putting out, a child that decides that sleeping at night is not in there plans, someone needs ran here or there, or just plain money for who knows what. You get the idea I am sure but we all become parents for that 10% of the time that all you see all that hard work and talking to and grounding and being just plain mean pay off.
So Hunter's amazing moment or what I like to call it a good mom moment.
The other day after school Hunter called me from his phone (yes Hunter officially has a phone, I don't want to hear it.) He asked if he could walk over to a friends house that I really don"t know, the answer is most often no. I am not a huge fan of him going to anyone's house that I don't know the parents. But he said that he was going with another kid from our neighborhood and one of his beesties. So I was totally fine with it. I just told him to keep me updated on what they were doing and to play outside. So I called him a hour later to just check on him. He was at my sister's just down the street. When I asked him why he was not with his friends he said I told them I had to leave to go to a party. When I asked why he said that he said because mom they were swearing. It was not the friend from our neighborhood so don't you all worry it was this other kid. He left because this kid was swearing non stop. It was a great moment for Hunter and a great mom day for at least that 5 minutes.

Because well life has just taken over!

Well we are still alive and well in the dahl house. Life is just crazy as always. Four kids is definatly no picnic. There is always something that needs cleaned or picked up or cleaned. always someone crying or needs some kind of attention. So there it is people that is my lame excucse.
The kids are getting big way way to fast. If i really stopped to think about it, i would cry.
Hunter is in 4th grade and is loving it . He is at the hard age of wanting to be older and is but just not old enough.
Bella is in 1st grade and well loving it for you her is not the word. She had a hard time at first getting up and being gone all day. I think she is adjusted pretty good. She has Calin (Janices son) in her class so I think that helps that she has him in with her.
Beck well he gets more sassy as the days go on. He is great one minute and you want to give him away the next. He is 3 but not in preschool yet. We are holding him back a year. i didnt really feel like paying for preschool for three years.
Cruz The sweet sweet baby. He is one and oh my heck has the time just gone by way to fast. He is not walking but could if he wanted to. He sleeps like a champ and loves loves his dad. He tolerates me most days. But i think we have turned a corner and he is starting to think I am not so bad.
Josh is busy as ever. He started school again, and is amazing. I would never want to be a guy. He takes his role of being a dad provider and everything else so well. He never stresses and still continues to work and manages to get great grades at school.
Well i will do my best to stay caught up. i know i suck.

Pine wood derby

Well I am behind as I am looking though my pictures but what else is new. In January I think it was the 29th. Hunter Had the pine wood derby. Josh and him designed his car and Hunter decided on the theme and of course amazing Josh went all out. The Theme was University of Utah. So Josh air brushed the heck out of his car. Hunter Won the entire race. He had one fast car. He was so excited.

Mothers Day cards!

My kids did a card on Sunday for Mother's day and so I thought I would wright what they would say.
Hunter's card:
My mom's name: Jennifer K. Dahl
My mom is 30 years old
My mom likes to: COOK
My mom has BLUE eyes
My mom weighs this much: 127.3
My moms birthday is on: May 5
My mom was born in 1985
My moms favorite food is: Chicken Alfredo
My mom likes to help me: with homework
My mom is the best at: Running

I must say that Hunter did a outstanding job at this. There were a couple things not exactly right. I dont weigh 127.3 pounds I will not disclose the real truth. I was not born in 1985, however very close it was 1981. Chicken Alfredo is yummy but I am not sure it is my true favorite food. So good job buddy, have to give it to you. You know me better then I thought you did.

Bella's
Well Bella did not finish hers and she is still learning she did right one thing. She did wright one thing The question was I love my mother because : I love her.
So sweet she is darling.

So Bella Remembers!

Yesterday was a big day for Bella. The first thing that happened was that she finally figured out how to tie her shoe we have been working on it for months and she just kept trying. When I was taking Bella to school she figured it out. She was so excited. Good moment.
The nest excited thing is that she is a proud mom to four baby gerbils. Yep I know all of you are all so grossed out to be honest so am I. She was dying for gerbils for her birthday and we got them and now we have 4 more. They are tiny and gross. She was so excited she could not sleep. She woke Josh up in the middle of the night to tell him because he was at school until she went to bed. So to all of you it is not very exciting and fun but to Bella it was the best day ever.

He is such a fatty. He started rolling over right after his 6 month mark. He is staring to sit up but is still wobble and falls over but getting stronger everyday. He is so stinking good. He has been sleeping though the night since 6 weeks, and keeps going strong. He will sleep at least 12 hours at night. He already has stranger anxiety. So funny all my kids are such mama kids forever. i know that I do it to them but what ever, they will leave me one day and I wont regret it one day or atleast I sure hope so. I love his fat little cheeks and big old eyes.
